Dr. Raymond J. Brill

Dr. Brill graduated cum laude from Illinois College of Optometry with BSVS and OD degrees after completing undergraduate studies at Northern Illinois University. He received a scholarship from the Illinois Optometric Association and a U.S. Army Health Professions Scholarship.  While undergoing his professional training, Dr. Brill served four years in the U.S. Army Reserves doing military and medical training while on active duty in the hospitals at Ft. Jackson, SC, Ft. Bragg, NC and Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX.  Dr. Brill served as the Division Optometrist at Ft. Riley, KS for four years, leaving the service with the rank of Captain.  After spending a year in a pediatric ophthalmology practice doing exams under anesthesia and infant post-cataract contact lens fitting in the operating rooms at St. Luke’s Hospital and Children’s Mercy Hospital, Dr. Brill began his own practice in 1983–Brill Eye Center in Mission, KS. He has since become a well-renowned optometrist in Kansas City and is widely known eye doctor in Overland Park, Shawnee, Mission, Lenexa, Leawood, and Kansas City, KS.

In 2010, Dr. Brill earned an Executive MBA degree with Top Honors from the Bloch School of Management in Kansas City with an emphasis in innovation and entrepreneurship was appointed to the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Business fraternity.  Dr. Brill has earned professional Fellowship designations with the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control (FOAA) and achieved the status of Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry in 2011.
